Dr. Shanks chose family medicine because she believes it is where she can have the largest impact on her patients overall healthcare and serve the community she is a part of. She is passionate about providing care to underserved communities, community service, educating and advocating for her patients. Dr. Shanks provides full spectrum care to patients of all ages in Baldwin County. Her professional interests include patient health advocacy, reproductive health, and Osteopathic Manipulative Treatment (OMT). Prior to joining Baldwin Health, Dr. Shanks completed her doctorate at Kentucky College of Osteopathic Medicine in Pikeville, Kentucky. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her two dogs, going to the beach, and being with family.
